In today’s dynamic global economy, disruption has become a constant. As supply chains continue to be affected by evolving tariffs and trade policies, dental support organizations (DSOs) and practices across the country are understandably considering the potential impact on their lab work.
At DDS Lab, we have taken a long-term, strategic approach to preparing for these types of challenges. Over the past several years, our leadership team has made targeted investments in global operations to build resilience into our supply chain. These efforts were not reactionary, but part of a deliberate strategy to ensure stability and reliability for our partners—regardless of external pressures.
Strategic Investments for Operational Continuity
In 2024, we launched our Costa Rica fabrication facility, a key step in our broader plan to strengthen operational redundancy. This new location complements our established presence in Shenzhen, China, and our U.S. headquarters in Tampa. Together, these facilities form a distributed production network that enables us to maintain consistent turnaround times and adapt swiftly to global developments. While other labs may be adjusting their operations in response to recent events, we are already positioned to maintain service continuity. Our model ensures we can continue to meet the evolving needs of DSOs and practices while upholding the standards of quality and reliability our partners expect.
