[DDS Dental Lab](https://blog.ddslab.com/author/dds-dental-lab) Oct 13, 2017 --- ## Course Description Advances in Digital Dentistry, in association with DDS Lab, on Tuesday, October 24th, 2017, at DDS Lab, is a unique way to continue your education and learn more about how digital dentistry is changing the way general dentists, oral surgeons and laboratory technicians interact with one another and plan treatment. Incorporation of [CAD/CAM technology](https://blog.ddslab.com/using-cadcam-surgical-guides-for-implant-surgery) for restorative solutions can help deliver natural-looking, esthetic results for patients. Connectivity between current CAD/CAM scanners and [intra-oral scanners](https://blog.ddslab.com/digital-impression-systems)allows the restorative doctor to take a digital impression, make any occlusal modifications chairside, and send the file to the laboratory to design the restoration. This program will allow you to see and demo the IO Scanner as well as take a tour of the DDS Lab facility. As well as review recent advances in digital technology, the increasing importance of the partnership between dentists and their lab, the difference between various materials used for copings and abutments, surgical planning software for implant placement and restoration and the many benefits available to the treatment team when using digital dentistry solutions. **Where?** DDS Lab  |  5440 Beaumont Center Blvd., Suite 400  |  Tampa, FL 33634 Co-Sponsored by DDS Lab and Straumann®   **When?** October 24, 2017 (Tuesday)  |  Registration 6:00pm  |  Program 6:30pm - 8:00pm Lab tours available before and after the presentation.   **Registration** Complimentary  |  Please respond by Wednesday, October 18, 2017 as space is limited Email: [Alex.Tenney@ddslab.com](mailto:alex.tenney@ddslab.com)   **Speaker** Charlie Vincent | Straumann Senior Digital Workflow Specialist   ## Learning Objectives: - Recognize how to incorporate recent technologial advances as part of the treatment plan - Understand how digital impressions can help create an accurate final restoration - Understand the materials and processes availanle for CAD/CAM restorations - Indentify cases where guided surgery planning would be helpful for implant placement   Subject Code: 690 SAC: Straightforward Type: Lecture CE credit: No credits Tuition: Complimentary  ![PACE.jpg](https://blog.ddslab.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Images/Blog_Images/PACE.jpg?width=188&name=PACE.jpg) [CE Class](https://blog.ddslab.com/topic/ce-class) ## Similar posts Dental Technology ### [6 Common Digital Dentistry Mistakes To Be Aware Of](https://blog.ddslab.com/6-common-digital-dentistry-mistakes-to-be-aware-of) While digital dentistry is effective, it's not infallible.
