DDS Lab announces milestone of 1 Million Digital Cases fabricated

DDS Lab announces milestone of 1 Million Digital Cases fabricated

Tampa, Florida (September 12, 2022) DDS Lab, a leading, full-service CDL, ISO, and MDSAP Certified dental laboratory, announced the company reached the milestone of 1 million digital cases. This important milestone secures DDS Lab’s leadership role in digital impression technologies.

Since the inception of digital impressions in the mid-1980’s the accuracy and reliability has evolved to be a leading technology in the dental industry. This evolution has led to its popularity among clinicians and dental laboratories alike as an efficient, consistent, and cost-effective workflow.

DDS Lab was quick to assist its customers in adopting these advancements creating dedicated training programs through its Field Support Technicians. Today DDS Lab offers more than 2000 IOS Trainings for dental offices annually. This reinforces DDS Lab’s commitment to support its customers on their journey towards digital impression and fabrication comprehensive adoption.

Bart Doedens, CEO of DDS Lab, commented on the milestone “this milestone represents a commitment to help advance the field of dentistry through innovation. Being a leader in digital technologies obligates us to educate and support our customers on the clinical and efficiency benefits of digital workflows. We are investing capital in both human and facility resources to continue to lead the industry in this area for many years to come”.

The positive impact digital impression has on the dental practice and patient is best described by clinicians directly treating their patients. Dr. Harold Baumgarten, Clinical Professor at Penn Dental Medicine, and in private practice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, said

“Intraoral Scanning and the fabrication of patient-specific CAD/CAM abutments and restorations have been game changers for my practice and patients. The accuracy of these impressions has led to practice efficiencies not achievable with traditional impression procedures. Dr. Baumgarten continued with “I applaud DDS Lab for reaching their 1 millionth digital case fabricated and appreciate their dedication to helping dental practices adopt leading dental technologies.”

The company will have a kickoff celebration for this momentous occasion on September 9 in Tampa, Florida with additional customer and vendor celebrations planned throughout the remainder of the year.
